It is a fun time of the year for me. I like giving candy (because I love to eat it) We share.......mostly. I give a card and usually candy, to not only my husband but to my grown sons as well. It is fun. Hope all you guys out there don't pay attention when your significant other says, "Don't bother getting me anything for Valentine's Day, I don't really want anything." She is LYING. You had best get her a box of candy, a card, or some flowers, all three is not a bad idea. WE really Do want something to show you love us. And don't forget to SAY *I LOVE YOU!* (several times) that day. :)

A friend of mine shared this with me and I simply had to share it with you as well. In the coming New Year, 2013, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address will occur on the same day. This is an ironic juxtaposition of events. One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of very little intelligence for prognostication. The other involves a groundhog. Our new year is almost here. Happy Christmas Eve, Eve. In case I get too busy and forget to wish everyone a Christmas Eve gift, I am sending that out to you all today. Christmas Eve Gift is an old tradition in our house. It is a wish for health, wealth and prosperty for the coming new year. You attempt to beat your family members at being the first one on Christmas Eve morning to shout out 'Christmas Eve Gift.' You then receive a gift from that person, albeit small, possibly as simple as a kiss, or a hug. Any gift can be on the list. So here is my Christmas Eve Gift to you and your family. May your new year be as beautiful as this rainbow, and along with that many new and wonderful beginnings for the upcoming year. So the world is supposed to be ending today , huh? That's bad. I never have found out who let the dogs out, the way to get to Sesame Street, why Dora doesn't just use GPS. Why you have never heard, "Psychic Wins Lottery", why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed, why "abbreviated" is such a long word, why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons, why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections, why do you have to "put your two cents in" but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to? Why did Joanie love Chachi? If a deaf person has to go to court is it still called a hearing? Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane? Does the alphabet song and twinkle twinkle little star have the same tune? Why did you just try to sing those two previous songs? And just what is Victoria's secret? And just who the heck are 'THEY.' You see, the world just has to keep going because I have too many unanswered questions......and do you really think I am this witty ????, because I actually stole this from a friend, who stole from a friend , who stole from a friend , who stole from a friend , who stole from a friend ... Working on Book #3 of my,' Warrior's Dragon Series.' After completing my current work in progress, "Where Is She Now," a murder mystery, I intend to finish Book 3, in my dragon series. It is a post-apocalyptic science fiction series, filled with dragons, mythical creatures, and a message. I am hoping for completion and launch mid 2013. Hope everyone enjoys it. I am planning a trilogy of book three, which will bring my Readers up to date on what was initialized in Books 1 and 2. I intend to publish Book 3, Independently and price it at $2.99, to make it more readily available for everyone to enjoy. "The Crazy Things We Do" Ain't that a purdy scene? When I was much younger, we went canoeing every year and it was loads of fun. It still intrigues me to think about taking a lazy ride down a slow moving river. I am sure I would enjoy the trek, even at my age. Only thing is, I would have to give some thought to how sore I would be the next day. That might very well be the deciding factor in the whole affair. DO YOU HAVE A TEENAGER? Do you feel you are being torn in several different directions at the same time? Work, household, expenses, everything pushing you back, when you're struggling so hard to go forward. Bring your teens into the 'real world.' Shielding them from the toils of life is not the answer. Teach them early about expenses, hardships and stress. They can't help you, but you will be helping them. They need to learn about these things. We truly do them no favors by shielding them from the hardships of life, though we believe we are. After all, these thing are a part of life. Help your child, be there for them to help them learn what they WILL BE facing in their own near future. FALL IS HERE! Truly love this time of year, when the leaves are turning that beautiful golden brown, orange and yellow. There is a drop in the temperature so NO MORE LOVEBUGS. The mosquitoes hate cool weather too, so haven't seen any of them in the last few days. Best of all.....no grass to mow. Life is good! |
